Practicing Emotional Intelligence in a Virtual World
September 18, 2020 | 12:00 PM
Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the ability to recognize and understand our emotions and use this awareness to manage our behavior and our relationships. While this is difficult enough to do in our everyday face-to-face interactions, working in a virtual environment adds an extra layer of complexity to implementing emotional intelligence effectively.
Research shows that emotional intelligence is linked to personal achievement, happiness, and professional success. The good news is that emotional intelligence can be developed and improved through increased awareness and commitment to change.
This webinar will highlight the four skills of emotional intelligence: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. Participants will be introduced to strategies for increasing their emotional intelligence in each of the four areas, particularly in the context of a virtual work environment
