Take the first step to becoming Certified!

Join us for a two part webinar series discussing the 6 chapters of the Module I Study Guide

Join us on March 27th from 6-8pm and April 10th from 6-8pm

Select Chapters of Region 1, 2 and 3 will be hosting a FREE web-based presentation.

The revised Certification test is now divided into two Modules.

  • Module I walks you through the key concepts and helps you develop an understanding of the pieces that make up the healthcare industry.  It is available online only and is a six chapter study guide followed by the Module I test.
  • Module II takes the skills learned in Module I and tests you with a series of case studies.  Module II is only available once you pass Module I and you must be a member in good standing.

These webinars will provide an overview of each of the chapters covered in the Module I study guide.  The cost of the sessions are free, but if you need the study guide, that is available at a group discount of $320 (see the attached page to order).  Module II is only available once you pass Module I and is not available for a group discount.  The cost of those materials is $300.

The March 27th session will cover chapters 1, 5 and 6

The April 10th session will cover chapters 2,3 and 4

To place your order for Module I materials:

There have been some changes to the materials.  They are now good from one year when we activate your account.

Once activated, you will get an email with instructions on how to access them.

You may take the test at the end of the module every 30 days.  We recommend that when your materials are activated that you take the test just to see how you do (we have had people pass!)  If you don’t pass, you will know what areas to focus on.  You can then take the test again when we are done with the two webinars which will be approximately 30 days later.

Members of NJ chapter can register online and pay for exam materials by visiting www.hfmanj.org and clicking on HFMA CHFP Certification Discounted Study Guide link located on the rotational banner. Activation email will be sent once your payment is received.

Please contact Amina Razanica at arazanica@njha.com if you have any questions.

Once you pass both parts of the exam, if you are a member in good standing and an active participant in the chapter, the NJ Chapter will reimburse you the cost of both modules if your employer does not.  Reimbursement is subject to Board approval.  Please contact Amina Razanica if you have questions regarding this process.
