There are many changes to the CPT codes and HCPCS codes for 2018 that impact the chargemaster and revenue integrity. Additionally, the Medicare 2018 OPPS Final Rule will also impact the charge master and related charge capture processes. This seminar will help you to prepare your facility for those changes.

  • Identify proactively not only chargemaster changes required as a result of the 2018 OPPS rule, but also identify charge capture process issues requiring your attention.
  • Describe the 2018 changes for CPT, HCPCS, Category III codes, and ambulatory payment classifications (APCs) and their impact on the chargemaster.

NEW JERSEY BOARD OF ACCOUNTANCY CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION CREDITS
Based on our understanding of the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy’s continuing professional education (CPE) requirements, Sponsor No. 185, this course will qualify for 3.0 CPE credits in Specialized Knowledge and Applications.


AMERICAN COLLEGE OF HEALTHCARE EXECUTIVES CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
The New Jersey Chapter of HFMA is authorized to award 3.0 hours of pre-approved ACHE Qualified education credit (non-ACHE) for this program toward advancement, or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Participants in this program wishing to have the continuing education hours applied toward ACHE Qualified Education credit should indicate their attendance when submitting application to the American College of Healthcare Executives for advancement or recertification.


AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PROFESSIONAL CODERS CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
The New Jersey Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association has sought approval from the AAPC for pre-approved continuing education credits for this program. 3.0 Credit hours have been approved.


Supreme Court of New Jersey Board on Continuing Legal Education
Based on our understanding of the Supreme Court of New Jersey Board on Continuing Legal Education mandatory continuing legal education program requirements, this course will qualify for 3.3CLE credits. NJ HFMA is an approved service provider (#1098).
